John Cruickshank

Our resident development and training chef John Cruickshank has a wealth of experience and is happy to consult on menu creation/development and staff training.

John has worked in the industry for 45 years and during this time has gained considerable operational knowledge. Prior to joining LCE John worked as executive head chef in a number of well respected hotels and restaurants including:

Waldorf Hotel London THF, Gosforth Park , Royal County Durham - Swallow Hotels

More recently John has worked as a development chef for some of the industries most prestigious equipment manufactures:

Palux - high quality modular cooking system

Bourgoise - innovative combination steamers

MKN - very high quality modular and bespoke cooking systems and class leading combination steamers

During his time as a development chef John has advised many clients, some of the more recognisable include:

Moto Roadside, Scottish & Newcastle Retail, JD Wetherspoon, Sainsburys, Morisons ASDA, COOP, and IKEA Food Service.
