Lloyd Catering Equipment is proud to be associated with Beefeater.
We have worked closely with the original Whitbread Brewery in Sheffield South Yorkshire since 1974 and onwards with the Whitbread Group PLC in Luton creating the Beefeater Brand.
Our mission as with all of our clients is to provide a tailored yet flexible service that delivers the perceived expectations from an original conception.

Our Brief
To work very closely with Whitbread’s interior designer Street Eite in creating a kitchen that is sympathetic with the restaurant of which both where challenged with designing for 2012.
To bring theatre back in to grilling by creating a fully viewable kitchen platform that enhances the fire behind the food motif.
To provide a modern and innovative Ventilation system that enables the catering equipment to be positioned in such a way that it is in full view of the customer yet still being functional.
To source new methods and materials for the unique bespoke cladding.

Journey
This new build development was originally destined for a closed back of house kitchen design and as such Lloyd Catering Equipment have worked tirelessly with the entire construction team to overcome the many challenges that arose by bringing the kitchen front of house during the initial stages of the construction.

By designing our ventilation system in conjunction with the roof manufacturers we enabled our ductwork to pass through all areas of the roof without alterations to the joist trusses.
Our main challenge during the entire ventilation process was to provide a extraction system that could handle the air changes required, prevent spillage in to the restaurant, adhere to the industry DW172 Standard whilst at the same time looking like a modern aesthetically pleasing system .

The Bespoke Stainless Steel curve effect cladding arose from a conversation between the interior designer and ourselves, & a joint concern over the customers perception of a bland 8m Stainless steel rear wall.
By agreeing in principle to a standard curved design Lloyd Catering Equipment trialled many processes until we eventually sourced the correct materials and processes that enabled us to provide a truly unique feature wall.

Our fabrication process was also challenged by providing bespoke detailed curved counter tops, Curved Stainless steel benches, and our new hands free wash hand basin stations using sensor motion taps.

Our handover process is planned in such a way that every item supplied to the customer are discussed and demonstrated in detail, this process includes initial setting up, daily running and maintenance, emergency call out procedure and warranty information and most important of all Direct emergency contact numbers.

Our commitment is to support our clients throughout the life of a project not just the beginning.
